ZLHRP 06 FT8 and Inverted Vees

Welcome to Episode 6 of the ZL Ham Radio Podcast.

Today I discuss FT8 on 20m and my Inverted Vee with which I also has a successful USB QSO to Oman on.

I had a QSO with HF Voyager on FT8 you can find more information about this at http://www.jrfarc.org/hf-voyager/

If you are in the lower North Island there are now 3 High Power Brandmeister Hotspots running on 435.750MHz, these can be used in Palmerston North, Levin and Kapiti

Meanwhile I’m still impatiently waiting for the arrival of my own ZumSpot to create my own personal hotspots.

10m is Alive and kicking, it’s amazing just how much an extra few feet in height can improve things. Also had some help with some thunderstorms and the electrical activity generated.

Feel free to contact me if you have anything you’d like to share.
